    MA’ATs CALL

    RADICAL TRANSFORMATION!!!

building community!!!

Mahaba House is a sanctuary for healing, designed to serve and restore Black and Brown leaders & professionals in community service industries. Mahaba means love in Swahili, leading with love, we honor and support those who dedicate their lives to uplifting communities. Our mission is to foster radical healing and cultivate healthy, balanced communities.

Professionals in these industries often endure immense stress that undermines their personal and professional well-being. At Mahaba House, we address these challenges by offering a safe, restorative space grounded in indigenous healing practices, professional development tools, and comprehensive training services. Many wellness spaces today, while well-intentioned, are marred by subtle yet pervasive racism, which disrupts the healing process. Racism is not merely a barrier—it is a root cause of systemic harm, as highlighted in Mary-Frances Winters’ *Black Fatigue: How Racism Erodes the Mind, Body & Spirit*. This work captures the enduring toll of systemic racism on health, economic opportunities, education, and social outcomes for Black individuals. At Mahaba House, we reject these systemic barriers and work to reclaim ancestral wisdom, facilitate deep individual and collective healing, and build resilient, unified communities. .
